Director of Office of Presidency meets UN Resident Coordinator for Yemen Lise Grande.

SANAA, June 12 (Saba) – The Director of the Presidential Office, Chairman of the National Authority for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Ahmed Hamed  on Tuesday met with Resident Representative of the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande.

During the meeting, they discussed difficulties in humanitarian action and ways to support, promote and facilitate relief efforts and finding solutions to correct the lists of beneficiaries of humanitarian assistance.

The Director of the Presidential Office said the goal of humanitarian action is to provide service to people, not a means of pressure, data collection and media targeting, as some organizations do and he stressing the need to commit to dealing with official state institutions.

He added: "If the fingerprint system is the goal of some organizations the means of auditing and verification are numerous and we are ready to study and discuss all the options that guarantee the safety of the lists and the arrival of assistance to the beneficiaries, this could include technical teams to study those options and to carry out the necessary verification procedures without prejudice to the laws. ".

He said today some use the media to confuse in order to cover the corruption and damage to the aid provided to the Yemeni people, the last of which is the ship loaded with rotten food at the port of Hodeidah and more than 100 locomotives carrying Damaged materials.
