IOF storm several Palestinian towns, arrest 16 Palestinians

SANAA, April 22 (Saba) – The Israeli occupation forces on Monday stormed a number of Palestinian towns and erected military checkpoints in the southern West Bank town of Al-Khalil “Hebron”, the Popular Committee Against Wall and Settlements said.

The Israeli occupation forces raided the towns of Tarqumiya, Aynna, Beit Awwa and Deir Samet, and erected military checkpoints at the entrances to the towns of Sa’ir and Halhul, and in Khallet Hadour in the old town of Al-Khalil.

They stopped the vehicles, searched them and checked the citizens’ cards, which hindered their passage.

The Israeli occupation forces also distributed military roadblocks on the Mafasir Yatta road south of Al-Khalil and obstructed the passage of teachers from a number of schools in the area.

At the same time, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said that the Israeli occupation forces launched a raid and arrests in various areas in the occupied West Bank arresting sixteen Palestinians.

In a statement, the Israeli army said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed various areas in the cities of Tulkarm, Nablus, Qalqiliya, Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Bethlehem and Al-Khalil and arrested the citizens claiming they were wanted.
