Culture Ministry to celebrate tomorrow the World Book and Copyright Day in Sanaa

SANAA, April 22 (Saba) – The Ministry of Culture will celebrate on Tuesday in the capital Sanaa the World Book and Copyright Day, which falls on April 23 of each year, and will organize a celebration for the World Intellectual Property Day, which falls on April 26 on each year.

The Undersecretary of the Department of Works and Intellectual Property in the ministry Abdulmalik al-Qataa told the Yemeni news agency (Saba) that the revival of these two events comes within the framework of awareness-raising programs aimed at promoting the culture of copyright and intellectual property rights in mass awareness, stressing that the sector is well aware of the importance of raising awareness of the culture of intellectual property rights and promoting the culture of reading.

The program includes a number of speeches, which which should be delivered on the behalf of the Ministry of Culture, the Union of Yemeni writers, writers, the Yemeni Publishers Association and a number of other objective materials aimed at promoting awareness of copyright and intellectual property and the value of reading and knowledge.
