YMU condemns targeting the correspondent of Radio 21 September by coalition

SANAA, April 1 (Saba) – The Yemen Media Union (YMU) on Sunday condemned the continued targeting by the Saudi-US aggression coalition to national media outlets and their staff.

The Union said in a statement obtained by the Yemeni news agency (Saba) that The most recent of those attacks was targeting the radio correspondent of the Ministry of Defense September 21 Bassam al-Asadi, which led to his injury while covering the violations committed by the mercenaries of the US-saudi aggression coalition in Hodeidah.

“despite the entry of aggression on Yemen in its fifth year, but the brutality of the coalition acutes increasingly in more sever manner, via committing more crimes and violations against the Yemeni people and media outlets staff, in full view of the international community and the United Nations, it said.

The Yemen Media Union called on organizations working in the field of local and international rights and freedoms to be in solidarity with the Yemeni media and to condemn the terrorist acts carried out by the coalition’s troops to silence the truth in order to cover up their crimes against the civilians in Yemen.
