Flooding in Thailand kills 25

BEIJING,April 2 (Saba) – Floods and mudslides in southern Thailand have killed at least 25 people, as last week’s heavy rainfall continues.

The severe flooding has damaged farmland, destroyed hundreds of homes, and displaced thousands of residents. So far, nearly a million people have been affected.

Thailand’s frozen food exports have also been affected, with roads and air transport being cut off.

Thailand’s Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation says rainstorms have subsided in most places, but more flooding is expected in at least four provinces.
