Yemen Navy confirms readiness to defend country
[14/June/2018]
HODEIDAH, June 14 (Saba) – The command of the Yemeni navy forces on Thursday confirmed its high readiness to strike painful and devastating blows to any ship threatening the Yemeni coast.
In a statement obtained by Saba News Agency, the navy command stressed that the Saudi-led aggression coalition forces, which attacking Hodeidah, raised up the level of danger in the Red Sea and must bear the consequences of it.
On Wednesday, the Yemeni naval forces launched two missiles on a UAE warship off the Yemeni western coast, causing serious damages and killing several soldiers.
The army and popular committees also foiled a sea landing of the Saudi and Emirati forces near the port of Hodeidah.
“The Yemeni naval forces reaffirmed that there is no concern for civilian ships as long as they are committed to international maritime law, calling on them to move twenty nautical miles away from the US-backed Saudi-led warships for their safety, ” the statement added.
