Security Committee: 15 killed in terrorist attack on Aden Radio

SANA’A, Aug.18 (Saba)- The Higher Security Committee said Saturday that 15 of the Central Security troops were killed and two others injured by a terrorist attack targed this morning Aden Radio and TV builing.

The Committee indicated in a statement received by Saba that these terrorist elements targeted at the same time the Political Security branch by a car bomb in conjunction with the attack on the Radio and TV building and resulted in the martyrdom of two people and injuring 9 others and causing damage to the building.

An investigative committee was formed from the security committee in Aden and with participation of representatives from Defense and Interior Ministries and the Political Security and National Security, the Committee added.

The Committee emphasized in its statement that the security forces will pursue terrorist elements involved in implementing this terrorist attack.

The Committee also affirmed that such criminal acts and others come after the continuous successes achieved by the security services and the army, latest of which was the expulsion of the terrorist groups remnants from the provinces of Abyan and Shabwa.

It called on citizens to report any information that may lead to the detection of terrorist elements and anyone endeavoring to disturb security and public order.
