SANA’A,July 17(Saba)- Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammad al-Saadi confirmed on Tuesday that the German aid to Yemen this year will reach to € 77 million distributed in the sectors of water, education, health and good governance.
In a statement to Saba on his return to Sana’a this evening ,after leading the Yemeni delegation in the annual Yemeni-German negotiations held in the German city of Bonn, al-Saadi described the results of the negotiations as very successful and fruitful and serve to strengthen the cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields.
The negotiations also discussed the German existing support to Yemen in the field of development and ways to increase it during the next phase, al-Saadi mentioned.
He added that € 24 million has been allocated for reconstruction in Abyan province as well as focusing on the uncompleted projects before.
“We can say that the Germans are honest and faithful in their cooperation with Yemen”,al-Saadi said.
Al-Saadi pointed out that the talks also dealt with the cooperation between the two countries in the political area through Germany's support for security and stability in Yemen and supporting the Yemen’s positions for change in a positive way.
