Germany to continue supporting Yemen to exit crisis

SANA'A, June 19 (Saba)- President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Tuesday Regional Commissioner of the Near and Middle East and Maghreb region at the German Foreign Ministry Boris Ruge.

At the meeting, the German official pointed out that Germany will work on supporting Yemen to come out of the crisis and for the success of the transitional period.

In the meeting, President Hadi praised the aid presented by the German government to Yemen in various developmental fields especially those related to the infrastructures.

Hadi dealt with the nature of the progress in the implementation of the Gulf initiative and its mechanism on the ground, stressing that the economic issue is the core of the problem.

He noted the paramount importance of assisting Yemen now in order to avoid the negative developments that affect the lives of living people, economically and socially.

"The investment, tourism, industry and oil gas extraction all have been particularly affected by terrorist acts", said Hadi.

On the other hand, the German official noted that the ministerial committee on the joint cooperation will hold its meeting in Germany next month and will discuss more cooperation programs and providing the necessary aid to Yemen in different areas.

During the meeting, Ruge offered condolences to President Hadi on the death of The South Military Region Commander Maj. Gen. Salem Ali Qatan, who was killed in a suicide attack in Aden yesterday.
